Notable’s three Partners—Clare Styles, Laura Tan and Tiffany Winter—are a proven trio with senior leadership experience at some of the world’s leading creative agencies.
Originally founded in 2016 by Clare and Laura, previously an award-winning partnership as Executive Creative Director and Head of Strategy at Brand Union, Notable has grown its offering and ambition with the arrival of Tiffany in 2019.
As one of the few female-founded agencies, we have a unique and inclusive perspective that attracts a wide client-base: from those specifically targeting the female consumer, to those who understand that successful brands today need to resonate with a wider, more diverse audience.
We build bespoke, specialist teams for each project, based not only on the skillsets required but the end customer in mind. We believe that empathy and understanding of the customer is essential in creating relevant, notable brands.
We have a reputation for being highly collaborative and regularly partner with our trusted network on additional marketing requirements such as digital, PR and advertising, acting as brand guardians throughout. We also have a wide network of influencers, particularly from the luxury and fashion sectors, which we tap into for insights and collaborations.
At the heart of Clare’s work is a deep-rooted understanding of identity and brand expression amassed throughout her career from a deliberately wide spectrum of leading creative agencies. Prior to Notable, Clare was on the management team at Brand Union (now Superunion) as Executive Creative Director where she was responsible for setting the bar for all of the agency’s creative endeavours. Throughout her 4.5 year tenure she played a key role in transforming the agency creatively and financially through winning some of its most prestigious accounts such as Shangri-La, Jaguar Land rover and Vodafone.
Prior to Brand Union Clare has held roles at Exposure, Wieden + Kennedy, Fitch, Navyblue and Phaidon achieving a portfolio of award-winning work along the way. She also takes great pride in having worked with some of the world’s most influential brands such as Prada, McLaren Automotive, The IOC, Nike, Levi’s®, Nokia, Coca-Cola, Rizla and Sony.
Beyond this, Clare helps support her industry as a guest lecturer at several universities and design organisations.
Prior to joining Notable, Laura was Head of Strategy at the leading global brand agency, Brand Union (now Superunion), where she was part of the Management Team and led the Strategy for clients such as Jaguar Land Rover, Shangri-La hotels and Vodafone.
She has a multi-disciplinary and international marketing background. Over her 15 years in the industry, she has worked for renowned agencies such as Ogilvy, Hill and Knowlton and JWT, in the UK, US and China. Laura joined Brand Union from Digit, an award winning digital agency that subsequently became part of Brand Union. She learnt her trade on the prestigious WPP Fellowship graduate programme.
Laura has a personal interest and expertise in luxury and fashion brands and is passionate about helping other women in business. Laura lectures on the Walpole Brands of Tomorrow programme and mentors young women in the marketing industry.
Laura has a First Class honours degree from the University of Oxford.
Tiffany joins Notable from Mindshare New York, where she was Vice-President of their award-winning Content group. For the past eleven years she has sat at the cross-section of content, distribution and innovative technology. Tiffany’s focus has been helping clients to develop robust content strategies and redefining how they approach content creation.
She has worked across a broad range of clients, including auto, telecoms, beauty, jewellery, food and financial services. She has built up extensive experience across luxury and lifestyle brands—overseeing custom content media partnerships for Volvo, Jaguar and Land Rover among others; leading 14 seasons of content capture at New York Fashion Week for TRESemmé, developing a strategic content roadmap for Forevermark Diamonds and redefining how the Museum of Modern Art goes to market.
Tiffany has worked with the full spectrum of media partners—publishers, platforms and networks—across channels. During her time at Mindshare, she co-founded Project YouDoYou—a first-of-its-kind, industry-wide initiative to inspire and empower young women.
Tiffany began her career on the prestigious WPP Marketing Fellowship and spent time working in London and Buenos Aires. Outside work, she is an avid traveler—she has visited over 37 countries in the past 8 years. In 2012, she co–founded Noted Places—an app to keep track of the most desirable places to eat, stay and play around the world. She loves nothing more than exploring cities for all they have to offer—from cuisine to history, and from art to music. Her modern languages degree from Oxford University (Spanish and French) has proved a great asset in getting inside new places and understanding foreign cultures.
